Three years waiting.

Sheikh Ali Al-Timimi was released three years ago into house arrest after 15 years in solitary confinement prison. Thus far, the court has refused to modify his status.

As a result, he is still serving a life sentence but from home instead of a prison cell. It has now been more than 18 years since he was convicted and sentenced to life and 70 years. Yet he still has not been able to file his appeal on the charges and convictions, which is a first in US history.

Indeed, a nation may endure that rules by disbelief, but it will not endure if ruled by oppression. In the end, freedom always comes with a price: in this case, the price for freedom is to sell one’s faith.

O Allah, turn evil schemes away from your servants and grant us freedom by Your Mercy.
